Job Summary
 
The Office Director (OD) assists the Senior Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and the other Associate Provosts in Academic Affairs in daily operations and projects. The OD maintains office services by organizing office operations, procedures, and correspondence. The OD assists with research for special projects and maintains efficient workflows. 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Maintains the faculty qualifications, faculty hiring, program coordinator, and other Academic Affairs workflows. Assists Academic Affairs with the student worker hiring process.
  • Conducts research and reporting activities for projects within Academic Affairs. This includes research for peer comparison activities, grants, and projects of value to Academic Affairs. Assists the Undergraduate and Graduate Councils with information and research needs.
  • Serves as project manager for special projects within Academic Affairs. Maintains project timelines, coordinates project communication efforts, and ensures projects remain on schedule.
  • Serves as the point of contact for the grade appeal, academic integrity, and academic success plan course processes.
  • Maintains the daily operations of the office, including the schedule for the Senior Associate Provost and other Associate Provosts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum Qualifications  
    Bachelor’s degree in a managerial related area and 1 year of experience in academic affairs.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
     
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of integrity in dealing with confidentiality.
    • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable.
    • Willingness to learn advanced processes, workflows, and skills.

    Preferred Qualifications  
    Prior employment in a higher education setting
