Job Description

Arizona PBS is seeking an Office Receptionist for our main front office.  This position will greet and direct members and guests, students, and staff, in person, by telephone and via email.  Successful individuals in the position will have a high level of customer service, communication and organizational skills all to be delivered in a professional manner.

Essential Duties

  • Serves as first point of contact for members and guests, students, and staff, directing and answering questions in person and by telephone
  • Provides general information in response to inquiries in person, by telephone or email
  • Operates office equipment such as copiers, calculators, word processors, personal computers or other equipment found in work unit
  • Prepares work orders, supply requisitions, requests for special data or similar actions within established limits and procedures; obtains appropriate signatures
  • Supervises student workers who provide customer service and clerical support
  • Schedules meetings and professionally communicates logistics to stakeholders
  • Works with Customer Service/Membership/Viewer Services/various AZ PBS Events
  • Oversees other clerical duties, such as processing mail, parking reservations, parking validations, facility requests, conference room reservations, updating directories and other special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of office/clerical experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in the operation of a variety of office equipment
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience using Google Drive, Docs and Sheets
  • Experience setting up meeting logistics and maintaining calendars
  • Experience in maintaining conference calendars

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
  • Clearly communicate and perform essential function
