Required Qualifications & Experience : Incumbent must possess: the equivalent to two years of general office experience, which included providing work direction or acting as a lead to lower-level staff; proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and related software and hardware, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook; enthusiasm in providing quality student services, supporting/supervising staff/student assistants, and working with faculty and division chairs to ensure services necessary to support academic programs; excellent verbal/written communication skills, customer service skills, and strong organization skills; and strong interpersonal skills. Incumbent must have the ability to: communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, community partners and representatives from other outside agencies; learn electronic survey tools such as Qualtrics; learn and understand complex university regulations/policies and relay that information clearly to students, faculty, and others in the campus community; meet deadlines; multi-task; work well under pressure; and collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and administrators to resolve problems and generate future solutions. Incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
