Position Overview:
As an intern at East Energy Renewables, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that support our mission to drive a sustainable future. Your role will involve various basic tasks and engage in our digital presence through social media platforms to enhance our online footprint and promote our renewable energy initiatives. This is a paid position and one which is ideally suited for a current college student with more than one semester left in their academic career/who intends to remain located in the Greenville-Farmville area.
East Energy Renewables -3130 N Main St, Farmville, NC is currently seeking an intern to
• Support administrative tasks including document management, meeting scheduling, and note-taking.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and proposals for different projects and initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with different departments to understand the multi-disciplinary approach of the company.
• General office upkeep duties, including kitchen stocking, management of our phone lines, and scheduling of the company’s on-site apartment accommodations for out-of-town employees, consultants, etc. while they are visiting Farmville.
• Assist in creating, curating, and managing published content across various social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Engage in social media monitoring and interact with followers in a professional and brand-aligned manner.
• Support the development of social media campaigns that promote the company’s projects, achievements, and sustainable energy messages.
• Assist in tracking and analyzing social media performance and engagement metrics to optimize future content and campaigns.
• Research industry trends, news, and innovations and propose ways to leverage this information on social media platforms.
• Create visually appealing content that adheres to our brand guidelines, including graphics, videos, and written content.
Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
• Currently enrolled or a recent graduate with a major/minor of Communications in addition to social media experience is a plus. Additional educational background in a related field such as Environmental Science, Engineering, Marketing, Business, etc. is a plus.
• Demonstrable interest and/or prior knowledge in the renewable energy sector.
• Basic understanding of social media platforms and engagement strategies.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and comfortable with learning new software and platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of editing and branding platforms, such as Photoshop and Canva, are a plus.
