The Department of Nursing at USD invites applications for a nine-month, full-time nursing faculty position. This position will be located in Vermillion or Sioux Falls. Some travel between the two locations may be expected.
Responsibilities include didactic and/or clinical teaching in the undergraduate and graduate nursing program, oversight and evaluation of clinical reasoning and clinical performance, assessment and evaluation of student learning and implementation of simulation. This faculty member will be expected to mentor students in translation science, evidence-based practice, have experience in nursing leadership and participate in teaching and service activities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong nursing background, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning, mature interpersonal skills, demonstrate emotional intelligence and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The successful candidate will have a current unencumbered RN license, eligible for licensure in South Dakota, and hold a Doctorate degree from a nationally accredited program. Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials.
