KSA's/Required Qualifications | Nursing Laboratory Instructors(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program: Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in nursing (MSN), RN license with three years of experience in medical/surgical nursing. Preferred requirements: Critical Care, Maternal-Child Nursing, Pediatric Nursing and/or Mental Health Nursing experience desirable in addition to medical/surgical experience. At least one year of experience teaching pre-licensure education preferred. Must possess a strong desire to teach adult learners. Nursing Clinical Instructor(s) for Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program: Minimum requirements: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN), RN license with three years of experience in medical/surgical nursing. Nurse Aide Instructor(s): Minimum requirements: Associate Degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing or higher, at least one year full time experience teaching adults, at least 2 full-time equivalent years geriatric nursing practice within the last 5 years, preferably in a long-term care setting. Evidence of completion of the Nurse Aide Train-the-Trainer course. Preferred requirements: Significant work toward or completion of higher degrees in nursing. Evidence of teaching experience in health care programs at the collegiate level. |
