Position Summary: 

The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the management functions related to the delivery of patient care, as well as the quality of nursing practice and the standards of care for the unit.   Supervises staff and functions while maintaining clinical nursing practice skills and unit specific expertise.  Specific duties include managing Human Resources functions; directing patient care activities; implementing work place changes; monitoring unit budgets; and participating on performance improvement projects.  Serves as a role model and clinical resource to colleagues, staff, patients and others.

Salary Range: 

Hourly Rate  Minimum   $53.26                  Midpoint   $78.11               Maximum $102.97

 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science, Nursing

Demonstrated experience in a leadership role

Complete understanding of patient classification system & staffing requirements for the patient population

Understanding of Joint Commission and other applicable regulatory requirements

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Basic Fetal Monitoring Course Completion (Class certificate)

Completion of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire

Minimum 4 years recent clinical nurse experience in Perinatal Nursing within the last 2 years

Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

 

Licenses and Certifications:

Advanced Cardiac Life Support(Required)

Basic Life Support(Required)

Neonatal Resuscitation Program(Required)

Registered Nurse(Required)

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
