The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate “standardized procedures” (SP). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition, and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). Provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care in the Department of Urology, Division of Urology Oncology. Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provide education and support as well as make appropriate referrals. Document services rendered. Salary range :$84.82-$121.13/hourly

  JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  

Required: * RN Certifications: State of California NP, National Certification (i.e. ANCC) as of August 2015. Degree: Master’s degree in a clinical field related to nursing, or a graduate degree in nursing * CA RN and CA NP Licenses * BLS Certification from AHA or ARC * Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs. * Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel. * Skill in working independently and following through with minimum directions. * Ability to set priorities. * Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence. * Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner. * Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an APP in Urology Setting -preferred * Will consider a new grad NP (NPi) with previous urology experience * Ability to work flexible hours and travel, as needed. * Demonstrated clinical research experience and basic knowledge of clinical oncology, with in-depth knowledge of clinical urology, including working knowledge of good clinical practices for clinical research. * NP! : less than 6 months exp : $76.51/hour
