Job Summary
The Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) NP's primary responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing reproductive health conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans, prescribing medications, providing patient education and counseling on reproductive health issues, and performing monitoring ultrasounds.

Required Qualifications
NP 1
- Two (2) + years RN clinical experience in Reproductive Medicine/Endocrinology, Assisted Reproductive Technology (A.R.T.), Obstetrics/Gynecology, or Women’s Health Services.
- Knowledge of general obstetrical care and female reproductive anatomy and physiology.
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
NP2
- Six (6) + months experience as an NP.
- One to three (1-3) years of NP experience in the provision of women’s health clinical services.
- Knowledge of general obstetrical care and female reproductive anatomy and physiology.
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
Preferred Qualifications
NP1
- One to three (1-3) years of RN experience in provision of women’s health clinical services.
NP 2
- Two to three (2-3) years’ experience with diagnostic ultrasounds.
- Two or more (2-3) years NP clinical experience in Reproductive Medicine/Endocrinology, Assisted Reproductive Technology (A.R.T.), Obstetrics/Gynecology, Women’s Health Services.
License/Certification
- California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position.
- Must hold current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.
- Must hold a current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.
- Must have completed a BRN recognized graduate master’s degree program as a nurse practitioner.
- Must obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice. (It is the responsibility of the employee to transfer their DEA license to their new place of employment if from out of state, via online DEA portal and provide evidence of transfer).
- Must have submitted enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day. CCS enrollment as appropriate for pediatric environments.
- Must hold current AHA BLS as minimum requirement.
- State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.
- Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.
UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
