Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds, or standing/walking and sitting for long periods of time.
Shift
Monday – Friday, Day Shift; 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hrs/wk).
Job Summary
The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease specific patient care to a group of patients who have serious acute and/or chronic health events or who are seeking healthcare to maintain their state of wellness. Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education and clinical evaluation or interventions.
This position requires working with medical professionals who are working under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient centered care focus on quality, safety, and service. A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful.
This role will require port and PICC line management, phlebotomy, injections, time out documentation, and management of outside and inside referrals and cross training with infectious disease, pediatrics, and medical oncology.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Basic computer knowledge, MS Windows, Word, Outlook, EPIC.

Preferred Education/Experience
Previous experience with port and PICC line management, phlebotomy, injections, time out documentation, and basic care coordination of patients within infectious disease, pediatrics, and medical oncology.
