Lecturer faculty generally teach a 4/4 load, with an appropriate service complement. Teaching assignments include introductory courses, upper-level core courses in topics, theories, and methods, capstones and independent studies, and opportunities to develop courses in the candidate’s areas of specialization. Experience teaching WGSS courses is preferred. RIT lecturers have ample opportunity for professional development and career advancement. Service includes the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the running and governance of the WGSS Program via participation on the WGSS Council.

We are seeking an individual who has the ability and interest in contributing to a community committed to student-centeredness; professional development and scholarship; integrity and ethics; respect, diversity and pluralism; innovation and flexibility; and teamwork and collaboration.
