Description

 

This Communications internship requires a deadline-driven creative, lives and breathes all things social media, and makes Student Success central to everything produced in the name of UHD.

This position is responsible for UHD’s official social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn) and posting event listings to media websites.

DUTIES

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

  • Understands and adheres to UHD’s social media philosophy and approach across platforms, including tone and branding
  • Generates engaging social media content unique to UHD daily, including original text, photos, graphics, and videos
  • Works in partnership with crucial University and external stakeholders in developing content and campaigns
  • Stays current on events happening across the campus in order to promote via social media
  • Attends select events to post in real-time
  • Schedules posts across social media platforms using Meltwater
  • Tracks and measures key metrics, including post engagement, online sentiment, and social media “chatter.” Provides in-depth analytical reports regarding impressions, engagement, and likes
  • Strategizes to increase social media presence through Social Toaster
  • Promotes student and faculty stories in UHD News through social media
  • Communicates with online followers, responds to reviews/comments in a timely manner, and monitors customer sentiment, including online review
  • Oversees social media account design and brand assets, including profile imagery, page layout, and links

  • The ideal candidate posts UHD events to media event calendars
