Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The purpose of the position is to advise undergraduates on degree requirements, academic planning, academic policies, course selection, experiential learning opportunities, academic audits and degree clearances, graduate study and career planning, and referrals to a wide range of campus services. There will be significant involvement in orientation, and admission activities as well as informational events. Other duties include teaching a Neuroscience section of the college’s freshman seminar: CMNS100, maintaining advising records, auditing, managing social media and other outreach, scheduling and commencement. |

Physical Demands | Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Must have the ability to walk short distances, and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required. Lifting boxes of materials for events may also be required. |
