The Robert Larner, MD College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Health Network are seeking an accomplished nephrologist to lead as Network Division Chief for Nephrology. This position requires a combination of clinical expertise, leadership skills and commitment to academic excellence; this leadership position will directly impact the quality of care in a large regional catchment area.
The UVM Health Network Department of Medicine is the largest department in our health care system and employs approximately 600 physicians and advanced practice practitioners at 1 academic medical center and 5 integrated community hospitals across two states. The appropriate candidate will work closely with the UVMHN Department of Medicine Chair to advance division, departmental and multidisciplinary initiatives across the Vermont and upstate New York regions. The Network Division Chief will lead a vibrant division committed to excellence in clinical care, education and research.
The individual will be an employee of the UVM Larner College of Medicine and the UVM Health Network and will receive an academic appointment as a member of the faculty of the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. Candidates at the full professor level are encouraged. Anchored by the academic University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont, the system includes 5 affiliated hospitals and many state-of-the-art ambulatory clinics across the region.

Qualifications: MD degree (or equivalent). Board certified in Nephrology. Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor (Tenure or Clinical Scholar Pathway) will be commensurate with years of experience and accomplishments.
An experienced academic and clinical leader. The ideal candidate will be a board certified in Nephrology with proven leadership experience and a commitment to clinical care, research, and education. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in Nephrology, as well as strong leadership, academic and managerial skills. The Network Division Chief will be an experienced clinician, who brings a strong track record for mentoring faculty at all stages of career development.
