Job Summary 
Assists in coordination of personnel for the delivery and support of audio and video equipment. Provides technical support for audio, video, and classroom equipment, including integrated and interactive video classrooms. Provides first level support for security camera systems throughout campus. Coordinates with campus constituents with the planning of new audio/video hardware installations. Serves as technical resource responsible for all phases of the multimedia classrooms. 

  Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Assists customers in the identification of appropriate multimedia technologies, writing of specifications, product evaluations, price quotations, purchasing equipment, effectiveness of equipment, and training to effectively operate multimedia systems.
  • Serves as the key resource and consultant for multimedia technology to customer by providing educational presentations on applications and proper usage of technology and being actively involved with cross-unit project teams.
  • Ensures the quality of daily operations in the multimedia classrooms remains high   by assisting with the scheduling of repair and maintenance, producing usage statistics, evaluating services, and making recommendations for growth and reallocation of resources when needed. 
  • Serves as a point-of-contact for telephone and email access to multimedia classroom services to include taking equipment maintenance requests, being the first line of support, and routing calls to other resources.  Coordinates and ensures working order of equipment and operates equipment for special campus events.  Assists faculty, staff, and departments in the identification of problems related to the multimedia classrooms.
  • Ensures accurate equipment inventory records.  Performs other duties as assigned

  • Minimum Qualifications  
    Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training. Directly related experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent customer relations skills for face-to-face coordination
    • Ability to maintain high customer satisfaction
    • Ability to perform effectively in stressful situations
    • Proven ability to multi-task
    • Proficient in modern classroom technology diagnostics & analysis
    • Strong work ethic and be a self-starter able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced environment
    • Telephone customer relations skills and experience

    Preferred Qualifications  
    Crestron Digital Media Designer Certification. Active Audio/Video certifications. Familiarity with Cisco Telepresence services.
