Position Summary
This full-time position is a key team member of the Faculty Consulting Group, reporting to the Director of FCG.
He/she embodies an artistic professional with a passion for using multiple technologies to create video vignettes that represent content for world-renowned research faculty and transform the student experience by appropriately using digital media to engage students in the academic material.
 
The multi-media specialist will work with Faculty and Instructional Designers to create and develop creative digital solutions for online and technology-enhanced courses. He/she will work directly with the Instructional Designers and Faculty to create course content that accomplishes the objectives for classroom and online content as administered through the learning management system. He/she will also work directly in conjunction with the faculty members, the larger instructional technologies group, and program managers to implement the chosen solution.
 
He/she will help expand our multimedia presence throughout our MAC curriculum, and explore innovative approaches to transform content delivery and partner with our faculty to constantly evolve and enhance how we deliver digital content to improve learning. While managing the day-to-day activities and video production, he/she will explore the impact of emerging technologies through video and multi-media solutions to continue to create an immersive, world class learning experience for our students.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Associate’s degree in Computer Information Technology, computer Technology Integration, Networking Technology, or related area and one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or 
- Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position’s role; or 
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, math or engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
- Journey level required an additional one year of experience 
- Advanced level required an additional two years of experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Knowledge of video production techniques, best practices and standards.
* Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop programs. 
* Skill in visualizing and shooting concepts effectively.
* Maintain project plan and naming convention for multiple projects.
* Able to meet project deadlines.
* Ability to visualize the written word and express it in pictures and sound to achieve the project vision.
* Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
* Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
* Demonstrate active listening, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate to fully understand project scope and align expectations.
* Light travel may be required for locational video shoots and for professional development.
* Strong project management skills, attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects
simultaneously.
* Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively with others and under limited supervision.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Coursework in Producing & Script Analysis preferred.
* Experience with Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC preferred.
* Experience with 3D motion software.
* Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS.
