The Department of Social Work at The University of South Dakota (USD) invites applications for a full-time faculty member for the Sioux Falls Master of Social Work Program (MSW). Primary responsibilities are identifying, planning, organizing, developing, and administering the process for field placement practicum for MSW students. Additional key tasks include matching students to appropriate placements; developing field education policies, procedures and manuals; communicating and liaising with agencies, students and faculty in matters related to field education, university service, and community engagement.
This position will be 10-month, full-time. Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials.
Required Qualifications:
  • MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited social work program.
  • At least two years of post-Masters’ practice experience, and a social work license at the Masters level.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach in at least two of the core curricula areas of Social Work Education.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to contribute in the areas of outreach and service to the department, college, university, profession, and community.
