The Department of Finance in the College of Business is searching for MS Finance Student Assistant to assist with recruitment and marketing efforts for the Master of Science in Finance graduate program. Serves as a critical point of contact, providing program details, and benefits.

Duties to include:

  • Assists program recruiter with marketing and sales activities leading to student enrollment in the assigned graduate program(s) through various mediums: online, phone, e-mail, chat, and recruitment events.
  • Executes a large volume of inbound and outbound calls | Works closely with program recruiter to develop new marketing and recruitment processes and strategies.
  • Assists with monthly program specific information sessions as well as general information sessions | Aids department with meeting personal and team goals
  • Follows college protocols in the use of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Utilizes a collaborative approach connecting leads with recruiter/advisor | Utilizes a collaborative approach connecting leads with recruiter/advisor.
  • Qualifies leads based on academic and professional background as well as level of interest.
  • Maintains confidentiality of student information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

  • Marketing, communications, and/or sales-oriented background.
  • Ability to handle calls in an effective, professional manner.
  • Experience in customer service environments.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and at different locations outside of the MMC campus.
  • Goal-oriented and interested in exceeding expectations.

Student Assistant.

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters. 
  • During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
  • Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.
  • 20 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday.
  • Between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Ocacionally nights and weekends.

 

$12.00/hour
