The Graduate Assistant will provide educationally beneficial assistance to the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program in the Department of Government and Sociology.

Research - 50
Assist faculty in planning and implementing class instructions, meetings, orientations, recruitment fairs, lectures, receptions, and workshops, etc.  Assist faculty in conducting evaluations and assessments.
Research Support - 40
Assist with research projects under the guidance of faculty.
Other duties as assigned - 10
The graduate assistant performs other duties as assigned and participates in staff, committee, and other university meetings as appropriate and at the request of supervisor.

Educational Requirements
Must be enrolled in a graduate program at Georgia College and State University. Must possess a Bachelor's degree.
Other Required Qualifications
Approved for regular admission to a graduate degree program at Georgia College & State University.
Maintain academic good standing. If a student's grade point average falls below a 3.00 (academic warning), the student will have next semester or summer term to improve and return to good standing before termination of the assistantship. Should a student fail to return to good standing after the next semester or summer term, or should a student receive academic exclusion and be dismissed from the degree program, the assistantship will be terminated at once.
This position will work in person 19 hours per week. 
Course loads for graduate assistants must be at least 6 graduate semester hours.
