Position Details
The Henry B. Plant Museum at The University of Tampa has a position open for a Membership, Museum Relations and Operations Manager. This position is responsible for membership, marketing, communications, and operations of the Museum and will report to the Museum Executive Director.
Responsibilities
1. Manage Museum donor database and maintain membership records. Includes processing all membership renewals, growing Museum membership.
2. Process deposits from donations, sponsorships, admissions, and special events.
3. Update and expand the website, social media sites and create print and online marketing materials.
4. Strategize all marketing/public relations and community partnerships.
5. Assist with Museum membership mailings.
6. Assist the Executive Director in preparation of materials for Board of Trustees.
7. Take minutes at monthly Board of Trustees meeting.
8. Prepare special computer projects (invitations, handouts, etc.)
9. Schedule adult tour groups, both self-guided and guided.
10. Manage telephone system for Museum.
11. Provide assistance at Greeters desk, Museum Store and guided tours as needed.
12. Provide evening, weekend and holiday support for special projects and events.
13. Manage Museum email list, write and distribute monthly Museum e-newsletter.
14. Monitor Museum security systems.
15. Manage annual Picnic in the Park.
16. Track and manage all discount coupons for Museum.
17. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Communication or related field.
2. Strong database management and computer skills (MS Word) required.
3. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
4. Knowledge of the Victorian Era, Florida History and Art History a plus.
5. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
6. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
7. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
8. Detail oriented and ability to work independently.

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm.
Some Mondays in the summer are Museum staff holidays.
Evening, weekend and holiday hours required for special projects and events.
