Job Title:  Medical Scribe (Part-time, 0.4 FTE)

Job Summary:

The part-time (0.4 FTE) Medical Scribe is responsible for the transcription of provider services, along with accurate and complete record keeping in the patient medical record for each patient receiving services in the clinic. The Medical Office Scribe works to facilitate patient flow and ensures seamless delivery of care for each patient. This position will scribe for Dr. Jonathan Bravman.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and assembles medical record documentation, results, and charts for provider.
  • Accompanies provider into the patient examination room to accurately transcribe.
  • Patient history and physical exam.
  • Procedures and treatments performed by healthcare professionals, including those performed by nurses and medical assistants.
  • Pend orders.
  • Patient education and explanation of risk and benefits.
  • Accurately documents the physician’s encounter with the patient and others present.

Work Location:

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Denver, CO and Boulder, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with medical scribe duties.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, especially EPIC.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $14,976 to $17,318.40 (calculated for 0.4 FTE).

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
