Basic Function and Responsibility
To provide excellent clinical and administrative support in Radiation Oncology clinical setting. 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Taking and recording vital signs and collecting/processing specimens in point-of-care testing labs. 
  • Process patient care orders using the electronic ordering system may be required in certain areas according to approved physician-delegated protocols and standing orders. 
  • Maintain in basket messaging for provider messaging, medication refills, patient portal messaging, etc..
  • Obtains and records accurate/pertinent intake information that includes preparing medical information, allergies, surgical history, etc..
  • Efficiently and effectively prepare, stock, and organize clinic exam rooms with appropriate supplies and equipment. 
  • Serves as a chaperone during sensitive examinations.
  • Monitor patient work flow and notify patients/families of schedule or provider delays.
  • Perform other assignments such as assisting with closing processes.
  • Prepare, complete forms, and ensure patients are given appropriate paperwork. 
  • Support virtual care appointments as applicable. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task independently. 
  • Maintains effective, collaborative relationships with other ACUs. 
  • Ensure HDR procedure coverage 

Minimum Qualifications

  • You are required to have either graduated from a Medical Assistant program OR have an equivalent combination of education and 1-3 years of Medical Assistant experience. 
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preceptor status
  • MiChart experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent attendance
  • Excellent technical skills: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

 

 

  • Hours for this position are 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. with a 30 min. lunch
