Overview
Provide mechanical CAD design support to all PPPL projects (ITER, NSTX-U, LTX, FLARE and other PPPL project collaborations) within the PPPL CAD Group in the Engineering Department. This person will work with engineers, technicians, and physicists who will request mechanical drawings and 3D models.

Responsibilities
Core Duties:
80% - Design, create, modify, and maintain parametric 3D models and 2D models utilizing CATIA and Enovia.
10% - Verify drawing compliance to standards for documentation release and at times field verification of existing conditions with field walk downs as required.
5% - Prepare Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and documentation for release.
5% - Generate design related presentation images for design reviews as needed.
This position will have electronic document control - promotes for signature and store 3D designs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associate technical degree with 3-5 years of experience in CAD drawing or equivalent.
- We will accept candidates with 5 or more years of CAD experience in lieu of a technical degree.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- CATIA Version 5 or Version 6.
- Enovia.
- This position requires extensive knowledge and skill associated with the technical CAD specialty.
- Self-motivation to completing assignments.
- This person will be given assignments that will work with another engineer or physicist.
- Assignments can range from one day to a few months.
- Keen attention to detail and follow through on assignments to completion.
Certificates and Licenses:
- CATIA training; ENOVIA training.
Working Conditions:
- This position will be on-site 5 days a week at PPPL Lab. Office environment.
