Position Summary
The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) at Bryant University is dedicated to helping Bryant students achieve their goals of academic success. This position reports to the Associate Director and is responsible to assist undergraduate students with the development of their math skills.

Principal Accountabilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide support to undergraduate students with the development and enhancement of math skills, both one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Hold review sessions and test preparation for math courses.
  • Work with and assisting with training student peer tutors.
  • Assist in the development of ACE support materials and contributing to ACE publications when appropriate.
  • Make recommendations to enhance the Center’s services.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

This is an (10 – 15 hours per week during academic periods) position with evening hours required. This position is not benefits eligible. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
This position is best filled by an individual with a Master’s degree in Math or a Bachelor’s degree in Math and a Master’s Degree in Education, or related field. Experience teaching and tutoring college-level students is preferred. Excellent math skills required, specifically in the content areas of Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I and II. Excellent interpersonal skills required to effectively counsel students and establish a rapport with faculty members. Strong organizational and administrative skills are important.
