UHealth Connect at Medley has an exciting opportunity for a Master Scheduler. The individual in this position is responsible for maintaining schedule templates for providers and ancillary services with a goal of maximizing access to and utilization of UHealth services. The Master Scheduler creates and maintains provider schedule templates, updates specialty subgroups in UChart, and facilitates patient rescheduling and provider make-up sessions for approved clinic closures (i.e. “bumped clinics”). The Master Scheduler must maintain in depth knowledge of operational and patient flow considerations in the clinical specialties they support.  Performs other duties as assigned. 

Minimum qualifications include: High School Diploma or equivalent and (1) one year of work experience required (healthcare preferred). Computer literate (EPIC scheduling and registration application experience a plus). Able to work in a team environment and lead/manage others as required by the Manager and Supervisor. Graceful under pressure and stressful situations. Has broad and deep knowledge of all areas as well as related areas. Demonstrates sustained high level of proficiency in all aspects of the job. Proven experience with Personal Computers (PC) and Microsoft software. Excellent English skills (both verbal and written) required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority.  As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University Of Miami School Of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.  Failure to meet this requirement will result in rescinding or termination of employment.
