Summary of Job Duties:

The Global Campus seeks a dynamic, results-driven go-getter to work and grow with fast-paced marketing team. This Marketing Specialist position will serve as the coordinator of social media and act as a liaison with business and industry to identify and fill skills gaps with customized training and other workforce solutions. Help us educate prospective learners about the transformative learning opportunities at the University of Arkansas ONLINE and U of A Professional and Workforce Development. Full-time employees receive tuition discounts and other benefits.
The person selected for this entry-level position will work primarily in the Fayetteville office of the Global Campus with a weekly presence in the Professional and Workforce Development office in Bentonville.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education of a high school diploma

  • At least one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field

  • At least three years of experience in administrative support

  • At least one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field or an associate’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least one year of experience in business social media production and scheduling

  • At least one year of experience in sales, business development or marketing

  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills

  • Proven experience in social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Spark)

  • Experience in higher education or adult education

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Willingness to learn new skills

  • Knowledge of higher education or adult education classes/programs

  • Sales, networking or marketing skills and abilities

  • Social media scheduling/coordination

  • Ability to track and report effectiveness

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of staff, clients, and instructors

Salary Information:


$35,731 - $38,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
