Marketing Specialist, Education Affiliate

The Affiliate Marketing Specialist will assist with campaign management of affiliate publishers, primarily education-focused websites, that drive traffic to SEI’s websites. This role will be responsible for assisting with vendor management, campaign optimizations, tracking, auditing sites, copy management, reporting, and assisting with marketing compliance. The position will report directly to the Affiliate Marketing Manager Sr. and collaborate with other teams across the marketing organization, including analytics, creative, website, operations, technology, legal and enrollment services.
This position is considered hybrid, priority will be given first to applicants who are able to come into the office (Capella Tower, Minneapolis, MN) 2 days a week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Management
    Assist with day-to-day details of campaign management, including campaign set-up, execution, optimizations, daily reporting, monthly insertion orders and billing, new product launch, and help troubleshoot any issues
     
  • Vendor Relationships
    Collaborate with vendor/agency partners, including ongoing communications, meeting coordination, attend regular status meetings, follow-through with requests and action items, and vet new opportunities  
     
  • Creative Assets
    Organize and manage copy/creative assets, assess copy needs, gather required assets, submit creative briefs, review copy provided by creative team, implement approved copy, and audit copy on vendor sites
     
  • Compliance Monitoring
    Work with Compliance Analyst to audit 3rd party sites for program, copy and regulatory compliance. Utilize compliance vendor and other tools to identify compliance concerns.
     
  • Meetings
    Attend and participate in meetings with manager, media team, cross-functional teams (such as analytics, marketing operations, or portfolio managers), agency/vendor statuses, and all-marketing presentations
     
  • Industry Knowledge
    Build knowledge of industry and marketing trends, including competition, marketing and regulatory, privacy policies, google algorithm updates and potential impacts, shifts in the industry (acquisitions, policy changes, etc.), emerging technologies

  • VLookup, Pivot Tables, SmartArt, HTML and source code are not foreign words, and understands that cookies have two meanings.  
  • Resourceful.  Google is a great tool to research something such as VLookup.  
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ability to notice small mistakes, understands that accuracy is more important than speed, aptitude for analyzing data to check for errors and inaccuracies.
  • Strong organizational skills and a process-oriented approach.

Work Experience:

  • Limited work experience needed if recent college graduate in marketing, or 1-3 years’ experience, primarily focused on digital media, buying/planning and lead generation

  • Must be able to travel occasionally should a business need arise. For most roles travel would not be common. Travel may involve plane, car or metro.   • Ability to work onsite in Corporate or Campus location (in a typical office environment) may be required based on role. If so, this would include being mobile within the office, including movement from floor-to-floor using elevators or stairs.
