The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator in the College in High School (CHS) program is responsible for the co-creation and implementation of the marketing and communication strategy, policies, and procedures. Manages and tracks the marketing/communications budget. Purchases items for disbursement at events. Identifies opportunities for CHS staff to attend for recruitment of teachers and schools. Creates, publishes, and assembles all office communications, including the newsletter, external communications, updates and maintains website, and social media outlets. Works collaboratively with internal Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences communications team.



Job Summary

Creates written editorial content across print and electronic mediums and manages web content. Institutes procedures for timely information gathering. Ensures consistent messaging and maintains University brand and style.


Essential Functions 

• Creates written editorial content across print and electronic mediums, including brochures, ads, articles, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, and letters.
• Manages and creates web content.
• Maintains brand and University style adherence across all platforms and content.
• Meets regularly with various faculty and staff for newsworthy information. Communicates and works effectively with a wide range of people; develops and maintains beneficial relationships.
• Evaluates and implements methods and procedures for collecting timely and accurate information.


Physical Effort 

Primarily sedentary; must have the ability to attend designated events as a representative of the University, and must have the ability to lift and carry work related items such as a laptop and meeting supplies.

Hiring Range $19.07 to $23.83 per hour
