The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Marketing and Communications Specialist position in the Marketing and Communications Department of the Pitt Business School.
The Marketing and Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing and communications to fulfill Pitt Business objectives and priorities. This role requires proficiency in research and writing skills, content marketing, project coordination, social media and digital content creation, and photography skills. The incumbent will multi-task, meet deadlines and collaborate with various stakeholders to plan and execute a variety of internal and external marketing campaigns for Pitt Business. Technical acumen for multimedia content creation and social media skills along with content marketing skills are necessary for this role.

Assists to develop web and print content and marketing. Supports the creation of presentations for communications team and marketing materials for marketing team. Ensures consistent messaging and maintains University brand and style

Duties Include:
- Project Coordination: Employee will work directly with external and internal contacts to plan, manage, and execute a variety of marketing and communications campaigns to external and internal stakeholders.
- Research and Writing: Employee will support various owned channels, including content for social media, digital screens, Katz/CBA websites, e-mail marketing, and alumni magazines.
- Social Media: Employee will coordinate social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn). Continuously innovate to bring fresh and creative ideas to posts and measure results. Conduct social media audits and analyze posts to increase engagement.
- Digital Content Support: Employee will support the Katz/CBA websites and digital screens, including multimedia content creation, troubleshooting, and responding to issues. Works closely with the School’s and University’s IT departments and external vendors as necessary to complete assignments.
- Photography: Employee will photograph Pitt Business events with occasional nights/weekends required.
-Internal branding: Employee follows University branding standards to create and maintain digital graphics for internal departments.
