Job Summary
The Senior Prospect Management Analyst works collaboratively as one of many data-driven team members in Prospect Development to engage with, support, and champion their assigned portfolio of fundraising officers and create a collaborative culture of giving at the University of Utah. The position requires both top notch interpersonal skills and expert analysis of data and process to ensure successful support of the Principal Gifts Team and the Corporate and Foundation Relations Team (CFR). The analyst maintains a direct reporting relationship with Prospect Development and a dotted-line reporting structure to the Project Manager of the Principal Gifts Team, reinforcing the collaborative nature of these teams.

Responsibilities
This role’s primary responsibilities will include:
Prospect Management Liaison: Coordinate information and collaborate with peers in the Advancement Office Prospect Management team to directly support business needs of the Principal Gifts Team and other centrally managed areas including Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) and Sr. Advancement Leadership.
Prospect review and tracking: Meet regularly with members of the Principal Gifts Team and the CFR Team to collect updates on their ongoing prospect relationships and fundraising solicitations, and enter this information into the advancement CRM.
Prospect Strategy Meetings: Regularly review and maintain the Centrally Managed List of donors to ensure appropriate Prospect Manager assignments and strategy notes are in place. Support in facilitating ongoing Prospect Strategy Meetings by preparing background information, coordinating schedules, documenting notes, and curating content.
Prospect management communications: On an ongoing basis, you will support the Principal Gifts Team and the CFR Team on Advancement Services processes and best practices, as well as provide strategic recommendations on plan management and prospect portfolio.
Data integrity audits: On at least a monthly basis, you will perform data integrity audits on records in the advancement CRM, including contact reports and gift receipts. Your audit will ensure that records are compliant with established reporting standards, follow best practices, and are connected to other records as needed.
Stakeholder feedback: As needed, you will accept stakeholder project requests, questions, feedback, and concerns on processes for which you are responsible, and respond to these communications independently or with the assistance of the Associate Director of Prospect Management.
Process innovation: You will work closely with the Associate Director of Prospect Development and the Principal Gifts Team to research, propose, and implement new reporting templates and processes that will enhance the timeliness, quality, and usefulness of the services you provide to Advancement stakeholders.
• Ongoing proposal entry and support as well as other duties as assigned.
This role will also work on its own and in conjunction with Prospect Research and Information Services to:
• Manage and assign pools of identified potential prospects for members of the Principal Gifts Team and the CFR Team to qualify and solicit
• Make recommendations on prospect strategy, as necessary
• Advance data-driven fundraising models

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of assignment or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); two years of related experience. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.
This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
Three years of specific experience in Prospect Development or frontline fundraising.
Preferences
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience in prospect development for nonprofit fundraising
• Experience in cross-collaboration with key stakeholders including leadership and Advancement partners
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRMs
• Experience with and understanding of nonprofit and/or higher education fundraising
• Track record of providing excellent customer service to stakeholders
• Demonstrated competency with data sets, data hygiene, and data maintenance
• Experience with presenting or providing guidance on technical and policy information to individuals and groups
• Demonstrated ability to strategize and resolve conflicts in and with small groups
