Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Manufacturing and Trades Pathways Support Specialist supports a partnership to strengthen the skilled workforce entering the Manufacturing and Trades industries by coordinating and conducting pathway advising to job seekers through increasing industry partners and job placement of students. The Pathways Support Specialist will develop business relationships to set-up and track interview sessions and work-based learning opportunities. This position will also identify student success stories for use in program marketing, assist with the mobile lab activities, manage program data, and participate in job fairs to make connections with businesses and students. The Manufacturing and Trades Pathways Support Specialist will work directly with internal and external customers with minimal supervision and the highest level of customer service.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications
Demonstrated working knowledge of regional construction trades, manufacturing, and logistics industries. Proficiency with applicable computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and work independently in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating excellent organizational and office management skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with individuals both internal and external to the organization. Demonstrated ability of sales techniques and to provide excellent customer service to all customers and clients. A current driver’s license and the ability to provide your own transportation to cover assignments throughout the Greater Richmond Region and Petersburg/Crater Region.
