Job Overview

The Managing Editor of Kritika, a leading journal of Russian/Eurasian history, oversees the editing and publication of the journal and other essential journal operations. 

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting to Professor Michael David-Fox, Executive Editor of Kritika , the Managing Editor works with external writers, editors, and publishing contacts.

This position has been designated as Telework. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University.  Such review may necessitate a change to a position’s mode of work designation. Requirements and Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in History or a related field
  • At least years of closely related editing and copyediting experience
  • High working proficiency in Russian or other regional languages and knowledge of Russian/Eurasian history
  • Familiarity with scholarly publishing and scholarly periodicals
  • Proficiency in related publishing and creative software, including Adobe Creative Suite

The expected pay range for this position is $26.26 to $41.35 per hour.
