Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Enrollment Management, the Marketing and Communications, Manager will lead the FDU Vancouver communications and marketing efforts, with a focus on recruitment support, growing enrollment and managing a range of projects to improve brand awareness locally and internationally, stimulate pride amongst faculty, staff, and students, and building alumni engagement.  The Manager will develop and implement an innovative, multi-channel communication and marketing plan to increase awareness of FDU Vancouver among potential students and increase engagement with applicants throughout their application journey, leading to higher enrollments. The Manager will also create print, digital and electronic assets for the Recruitment team, and analyze and track success of print and digital campaigns through various analytics tools.  The Manager will also provide communications support to other University departments, including senior leadership. This role presents a dynamic opportunity to shape and amplify the narrative of FDU Vancouver while contributing to its growth and reputation.
Principle Duties: 
1.      Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies aligned with FDU Vancouver goals, values, and priorities.
 
2.      Working in close collaboration with the Recruitment team and senior leadership to define key messaging, target audiences, and communication objectives. 
 
3.      Safeguard and enhance the University’s brand by ensuring consistency across all marketing and communication materials.
 
4.      Ensure all content is aligned with the University’s brand and effectively communicates key messages.
 
5.      Manage a small team of marketing and communication professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
 
6.      Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and identify professional development opportunities for team members.  
 
7.      Lead the creation of compelling and engaging content for various channels, including websites, social media, press releases and print materials.
 
8.      Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and online advertising, to enhance the University’s online presence and engage with prospective students.
 
9.      Using data analytics, develop metrics and track engagement and penetration rates with its constituents via the web, social media, and email.
 
10.   Where necessary, work with appropriate vendors to create, produce and deliver print, digital and electronic assets to support the goals of the University.
 
11.   Develop and manage the marketing and communications budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic objectives.
 
12.   Coordinate video productions and photo shoots as needed.
 
13.   Perform other communication and marketing duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 
1.      Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
 
2.      Proven experience in senior marketing or communications role, preferably with the higher education sector.
 
3.      Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
 
4.      Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement innovative marketing and communication initiatives.
 
5.      Success in delivering comprehensive communication and marketing plans that inspire, engage, and build awareness with target audiences.
 
6.      Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
 
7.      Demonstrated ability to assess success of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
 
8.      Familiarity with higher education trends and issues.
 
9.      Canadian Residency or work permit required.
 
10.   Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.  Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check.
