Manager of High Impact Practices and Experiential Education Initiatives
· Are you looking for an opportunity to assist students in career development and success post college?

Primary duties include:
· Manage internship, co-operative education, and other experiential learning programming.
· Serve as a liaison with academic departments and students to connect experiential learning opportunities to academic curriculum.
· Develop and maintain initiatives to promote standardized best practices across campus and provide support and training to faculty and staff.
· Collect and analyze data (qualitative and quantitative) to assess the effectiveness and impact of internships, co-ops, and other experiential learning initiatives.
· Market, develop, and enhance programs and services to ensure delivery of high impact services for both employers and students who use Career Center services.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Willing to travel and to work occasional evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Student Services or related field and 2 years related experience. Preferred applicants will have experience with experiential education, high impact practices, and internships/co-ops program management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
The individual will have the ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Ideal candidate will have strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with students, employers, faculty/staff, and other constituents.

EXPERIENTIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM MANAGEMENT: Manage internship, co-operative education, and other high-impact experiential learning programming for the University of South Carolina. Develop collaborative, sustainable projects with campus partners related to experiential education. Map or connect experiential learning opportunities to academic curriculum and develop educational content through experiential learning workshops. Offer guidance and support to students seeking experiential learning opportunities. Adopt and manage technology tools necessary for successful implementation of programs and initiatives. Confer with the Office of Risk Management and Legal Counsel on policies, procedures, and practices.

CAMPUS COLLABORATION AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Develop and maintain relationships with academic departments and offices across campus to understand unique internship, co-op, etc. needs. Develop and manage campus relationships, which are critical to achieving program goals. Provide oversight and direction to campus colleagues related to experiential learning. Develop and maintain initiatives to promote standardized best practices across campus. Provide training and support to faculty and staff on best practices in experiential education and high-impact practices, promoting a unified approach across the institution.

ASSESSMENT & EVALUATION: Collect and analyze data (qualitative and quantitative) to assess the effectiveness and impact of internships, co-ops, and other experiential learning initiatives. Prepare reports for university leadership on outcomes. Stay abreast of current research, literature and trends related to experiential learning, industry, career services and higher education. Benchmark and adopt leading and best practices in experiential education. Develop and implement assessment strategies to measure the impact of experiential education initiatives on student learning, progression, and career readiness. Use data to continuously improve program effectiveness.

MARKETING: Coordinate with office, unit, university, and division communications teams to develop a wide variety of marketing collateral to promote experiential education programs. Develop marketing tool-kits and solicit the assistance of colleagues in other functional areas to promote experiential education opportunities to students. EMPLOYER RELATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT: Establish relationships with recruiters and employers; assist them with designing and implementing strategies for developing shadowing programs, externships, internships and co-ops, etc. Evaluate and approve positions for participation in the programs based on the quality of the learning experience available to students. Consult with potential employers/recruiters on the development of programs and positions, as well as strategies for outreach and engagement. Provide guidance and support resources, as appropriate, to employers and recruiters.

OTHER: Oversee designated projects or initiatives related to experiential education, employer relations, or the Career Center. Offer support for various activities, including committee participation, professional development, move-in, Orientation, Admissions events, Family Weekend, and other special projects as requested.
