Job Summary
Assists students and provides outreach in evaluating students’ abilities, interests, talents, and personality characteristics in order to develop realistic academic and career goals. Uses counseling sessions and interest assessment tests to evaluate and advise students. Assists students to develop job search skills such as resume writing and interviewing techniques. Trains and supervises staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in higher education, student personnel, counseling, psychology, or related field. One to two years of related experience and/or training.

- Demonstrates the ability to deliver accurate, concise and quality communication (verbal and written) in a timely manner and provide quality feedback
- Resourceful and determined to provide a positive experience for others.
- Ability to establish goals and objectives
- Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others
- Takes initiative to seek opportunities for development for both self and the team
- Ability to administer and interpret several career assessments measures and personality tests, at least one course in tests and measurements, and/or statistics required at the graduate level.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
