Work Schedule Summary
The Lookout Restaurant at the University of Idaho Golf Course is hiring multiple servers. Varying shifts available during the hours of 9:00 am-10:00 pm. Open 7 days a week, year-round.
* Hiring for summer help starting in April*
Must be able to obtain “Alcohol Applications” certification through Auxiliary Services and TIPS trained within 7 days upon hiring date and be 19 or older

Position Responsibilities


Position Summary
The server’s duties may consist of:
  • Providing friendly, welcoming service to all guests
  • Taking phone orders
  • Waiting tables
  • Serving alcohol 
  • Preparing to-go orders for pick up
  • Verifying orders are accurate
  • Cleaning restaurant
  • Assisting with washing dishes as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities


Job Duty Function Assists the restaurant operation by:
Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Providing customer service by waiting tables;
  • Bussing tables;
  • Washing dishes;
  • Opening (as early as 9:00 AM), closing (as late as 10:00 PM) the restaurant;
  • Keeping shelves stocked and tidy and inventory rotated;
  • Keeping work areas clean throughout the restaurant and bar; including patio seating area;
  • Maintain safety and food quality standards;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications


Required Qualifications
  • Must be 19 due to state law serving alcohol 
  • Work experience that includes providing customer service and building customer relations.
  • Experience operating a cash register.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with food & beverage service.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work well in stressful situations.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Occasionally lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, reach, twist, squat, kneel and move throughout shift.
