Job Summary  

This position is a ¾-time Live Events Office Specialist for the Live Event Production Services group in the Office of Information Technology. This role is responsible for performing various administrative, technical, and clerical duties to support the Live Events department's daily operations.  

 

**NOTE: This position is an hourly, non-salaried ¾-time position, not a full-time position. As such, the benefits are different from full-time, and only 28 hours are allowed to be worked in a week.

  • Monitoring and administration of events student employee operations   
  • Clerical duties  
  • Supervisory responsibilities

What we are looking for:   

Education and Experience:   

Minimum Required: 1 year office experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.   

Skills, abilities, or knowledge:  

You are not required to have experience in all areas listed below. What you don't know we can teach you. We are seeking the most qualified candidates; the more you have, the more likely you are to be selected. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.  

Skills, abilities, or knowledge needed/preferred: 

  • Experience/familiarity with live event production and/or AV support 
  • Communication skills 
  • Computer skills/knowledge, including Microsoft software applications/products 
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn applicable OIT business applications software 
  • Interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and follow through with details 
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Customer service attitude 
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and in a collaborative environment 
  • Supervision skills and the ability and willingness to work with, mentor, and train student employees 
  • Teamwork/participation

  • Nowsta 
  • Microsoft Office 
  • MAS  

 

Employee Class: 3/4 Time (28 hour)

Approximate Starting Salary: $17.75 - $22.50 hourly, depending on qualifications
