Limited Term Faculty in Biology

The University of North Georgia invites applications for a ten-month, full-time limited-term faculty to teach courses which may include introductory biology for non-majors, including courses such as BIOL 1101: Biology, A Human Perspective, BIOL 1102: Introduction to Ecology, and BIOL 1260: Environmental Science.

  • Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in biology. 
  • The typical lecturer load is four lecture and four laboratory classes per semester. 
  • The ability to incorporate technology and active learning is highly desirable. Service and research are not required, though faculty may elect to participate in those areas if desired.
  • Master's degree in biology or a related field with at least 18 hours of graduate level biology courses at the time of appointment is required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential.
