Salary Information Salary is dependent on experience with a minimum of $63,554 (Assistant Librarian); $68,054 (Associate Librarian) and $74,354 (Librarian).

Position Summary
The Licensing and Accessibility Librarian (LAL) reports to the Head of Collection Development in the Collection Development Department of the Collection Management Division. This position is responsible for collaboratively negotiating library contracts and ensuring those contracts meet all applicable state laws, adhere to UNT policy, and advance library needs. Alongside another librarian the LAL helps create and maintain documentation and uses the Sierra ILS and ERM to record metadata and contract information. The LAL evaluates the accessibility and online security of library resources and works collaboratively with ITSS and other university departments to ensure materials adhere to required standards. The LAL collaborates with other Collection Development personnel to carry out complex acquisitions. 
Minimum Qualifications
  • American Library Association accredited master’s degree, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with library acquisitions landscape.
  • Familiarity with licensing and contract terms.
  • Ability to build effective work relationships.

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards or compliance.
  • Documented success at negotiation.
  • Experience with documentation involving technical topics
