The University Library campus is seeking to hire a full-time Library Assistant III at our Atlanta campus. We are surrounded by individuals empowered to use their expertise and talents to achieve our mission to pursue excellence.  

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO 

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Library Assistant III are the following: 

  • Coordinating the receiving activities for borrowing in the Interlibrary Loan Unit.
  • Responsible for ensuring borrowed materials are processed, patrons are notified, and materials are returned in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for retrieving and sorting courier mail, patron reminders to pick up materials, and processing renewal requests.
  • Answering main ILL main phone incoming calls.
  • Advising patrons on ILL policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with ILL lending duties, Desktop Delivery duties, and other ILL borrowing duties

Qualifications

: 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and two years of library, customer service, or office experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Recent experience in a college or university library
  • Interlibrary Loan experience
