Job Summary
 

The Library Assistant - Acquisitions supports the functional department operations. They serve as contact between constituents and departments to promote consistent internal and external communication. They enter and maintain data accurately. They work within systems to manage documentation and workflow efficiently. They provide excellent customer service while ensuring confidential information is secure.


Responsibilities
 
  • Create and maintain serials information by assisting in maintaining accessibility and accurate holding information for all continuing resources, both in print and online
  • Coordinate serials binding and repair including checking for accuracy and quality, verifying and preparing binding, continuing resources, and new physical and electronic book and media invoices for payment
  • Manage physical materials by repair or rebind, coordinating the receipt and distribution of all new books and media, distributing processed serials to appropriate departmental personnel, managing periodical issues, managing updates to serials and integrating resources, verifying and preparing binding, continuing resources, and new physical and electronic book and media invoices for payment
  • Assist with ongoing audits using spreadsheet software

Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience

  • One (1) or more years of related work experience

Proposed Salary
 

$12.26 - $15.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
