Position Summary:

The Libraries physical spaces consist of the Langson Library, the Science Library, the Library Gateway Study Center, and the Grunigen Medical Library.
 
Under the direction of the unit supervisor, serves as the functional specialist in managing all aspects of the Library’s subscription accounts with EBSCO Information Services. Independently manages the supersede operation performed in the Langson Technical Services Satellite. Processes ENGLISH and CJK serials and claims missing issues at the point of check-in online serial system.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $27.82 - $29.77 (Hourly Rate). The Full Salary Range for the salary grade this position is assigned to is $27.82 - $38.04 (Hourly Rate).

Required:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience working in an academic or public library or relevant education and training. 
  • Excellent knowledge of the Alma Resources and Acquisitions functional areas. 
  • Working knowledge of OCLC. Demonstrated ability to analyze independently and organize data. 
  • Skill to adapt to change and balance work priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent keyboarding and proofreading skills. 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of microcomputer applications. 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a good attendance record. 
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations to reconcile financial and statistical data. 
  • Excellent knowledge of invoice structure and current tax structure. 
  • Excellent knowledge of the bibliographic characteristics of monographs and serials in all formats. 
  • Excellent knowledge of Machine Readable Cataloging (MARC) metadata. 
  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods of time. 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed tasks independently with a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively to promote teamwork, diversity, equity, and inclusiveness within UCI Libraries and the campus.
