Position Details:

The Opportunity:

As a Library & Archives Paraprofessional 3 with the WSU Libraries in the Technical Services unit, you will independently perform complex library and archival services such as: copy cataloging, repository management, binding/thermabinding, physical serials processing, marking, and mending. 

A member of a consortium of libraries through Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, the Libraries at WSU support the university’s teaching and research programs by selecting, organizing, preserving, and providing ready access to sources of knowledge in all formats at all WSU locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or equivalent and three years’ experience in the functional operations of a library or archives. Equivalent education or experience will substitute.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Alma or equivalent Library management systems.

  • Working knowledge of cataloging rules and OCLC.

  • Working knowledge of MARC 21 format for holdings standards.

  • Working knowledge of automated binding program (e.g. ABLE).

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Monthly Salary: $3,393 to $4,517 | Range 39 Steps A – M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
