Hours per week Approximately 20 hours per week.
Work Schedule

Hours may vary but schedule requires working on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Pay Rate $12/hour
Minimum Experience/Education

Must have at least one year of customer service experience.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

Bachelor’s degree.

Experience working circulation in a library or a similar public service point.

Familiarity with library circulation functions, and electronic resources.

General computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot computer, copier, scanner, and printer issues.

Experience providing excellent customer service in a library atmosphere.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work regular service hours at the Library’s Circulation Desk.

Develop good relationships with library users.

Be familiar with library services and resources and provide basic reference and technology assistance to library users.

Interact with staff, temporary, and student assistants in a positive manner.

Support Library security in maintaining a safe and secure environment for users and staff in the library and help assure library resources are secure.

Help maintain library usage statistics.
