Summary

The Department of Accounting and Finance in the College of Business at the University of Michigan-Dearborn has two openings for a Lecturer I to teach in the Fall 2024 semester.  The courses are seeking a Lecturer I to teach a course in Financial Reporting (ACC358) and Accounting Information Systems (ACC380/381).  ACC358 is an intermediate financial accounting course taken primarily by finance majors.  ACC358 is scheduled for Tuesday evening and ACC380/381 for Thursday evening.  ACC 358 may be moved to online based on instructor availability. It is possible both roles would be filled by the same candidate or by two different candidates.

Required Qualifications*

Prospective candidates should minimally possess a graduate degree in a relevant discipline. Relevant work and teaching experience is desirable. Strong communication skills are needed.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
