Description: The Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University invites applications for Lecturer positions to act as lead instructor or teach precepts (sections) for the 2024-25 academic year. Appointment duty time is subject to enrollments, and any 2024-25 academic year positions are expected to begin September 1, 2024, or January 16, 2025, depending on the needs of the department. The candidate will lead precepts in undergraduate courses including introduction to the history of art (fall semester) and introduction to the history of architecture (spring semester). Responsibilities include leading weekly, in-person discussion sections, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s) as applicable to type of teaching, holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Advanced degree is required; Ph.D. preferred. Applicants should have documented teaching experience. Princeton is especially interested in receiving applications from individuals who, through their research, teaching, and service, will contribute to the diversity of the curriculum, broadly defined.
