A statement of teaching philosophy that emphasizes instructional strategies and student engagement, evidence of teaching effectiveness, a copy of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts, and three letters of recommendation are required. The psychology program invites applications for up to two lecturer positions beginning Fall 2024. Candidates will teach a variety of both in-person and online undergraduate required courses within the psychology discipline, in addition to courses in their area of specialty. 

The teaching load is 5-5, with voluntary service opportunities available.

This is a one-year position, with the opportunity for contract renewal.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a master’s in psychology from a regionally-accredited institution.
  • Candidates must have experience teaching at the collegiate level, both in-person and online.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference will be given to candidates with a doctorate in Psychology from a regionally-accredited institution by the time of employment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, in addition to other required courses, such as Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods, and/or Statistics.
