The Journalism Program at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for JOURÂ 89AÂ âœContemporary Media: Internship and Analysis,â a four-credit course to be offered during the Fall 2024 semester.
This seminar course brings together students who have independently undertaken a summer internship in journalism. The instructor will lead students in group media projects, analyzing readings, and preparing them for how to adapt to changes in the media world. The course will meet in person on the Waltham campus on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:40-7 p.m.
Candidates with a minimum of a Bachelorâ™s degree who have extensive professional experience as a force for innovation in newsrooms as well as experience teaching on the college level and working one-on-one with college students, will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter and CV, and the name and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is July 16, 2024.
This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local.
