Note: Candidates for the position must reside in or be willing to relocate to Texas before the start date.

The Department of Management and Insurance & Risk Management (MGTI) of the Marilyn Davies College of Business, at UHD invites applicants for one full-time lecturer in Applied Administration for the online BAAS-Applied Administration program, to begin in August 2024.

Primary Duties:

  • Teaches online courses within the program, with a maximum load of 5 courses per semester
  • Provides subject area content support for the degree program
  • Assesses student work for all courses taught within the degree program
  • Provides feedback and makes recommendations on the effectiveness of the curriculum
  • Collaborates with other faculty and industry to design and/or revise cutting-edge, online courses within the private and public sectors including organizational communication, information technology administration, leadership, human resources, budgeting, organizational change, and project administration
  • Evaluates courses and identifies strategies for increasing student learning and course effectiveness 

Secondary Duties: 

  • Serves on committees as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • An MBA or Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, or a closely-related field
  • Experience working in both the public and private sectors
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with online teaching or training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Terminal degree in a field related to the program
