Job Summary

The Department of Accounting at Purdue University Fort Wayne (http://www.pfw.edu) invites applications for a 9-month position in Accounting at the Lecturer rank beginning August, 2024. This position will be eligible for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. Purdue will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. The candidate’s preferred teaching interests should be in Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting. Expected teaching modalities include both in-person and on-line.   


Qualifications

The candidate is required to have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in Accounting and an active CPA or CMA license. An exception to this requirement will be made if a candidate has a doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) degree with a concentration or specialization in Accounting. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to high quality teaching and service. Duties include teaching and service per department and university guidelines. Salary starts at $90,000. The position is contingent upon available funding and satisfactory background check.


The Department

The Department of Accounting includes six full-time faculty and an administrative assistant. Our mission is to advance the lives of our students in their chosen accounting career. We offer both an undergraduate degree in accounting as well as a post baccalaureate in Accounting. Our program ranks in the upper 15th percentile for first time CPA pass rates for medium sized schools. Purdue Fort Wayne is an AACSB Internationally accredited university.
